American Expedition
National Brand Of Products Which Celebrate The Majestic Wildlife Of North America.
American Expedition makes products featuring great art of North American wildlife. I have loved working on this project, especially developing the themes pages for each of the animals in the line (drawn and painted by the extremely talented Doug Weber). To this point, this is the crown jewel in my portfolio - a site which is extremely aesthetically beautiful, but which also showcases the brand's products strongly.

Discover Outdoors
Wildlife Gift Store That Brings Outdoor Experiences Home
The Discover Outdoors website is dedicated to gifts and decor items which celebrate outdoor experiences. Most of the products sold at the store feature beautiful wildlife art, and the large product images on the website allow these to be showcased. Discover Outdoors has a large variety of products which is sure to please anyone: whether you love hunting, fishing, bird-watching, or just taking a walk through the woods, there is something in the store which will catch you by surprise.

MO Dough Coupons
Coupon Mailer Driving Business To Locally Owned Stores
MO Dough Coupons is a coupon mailer with a clearly defined mission to give the community incentives to shop local. I absolutely love the vision of this project, which can be summed up by a line written by our copywriter, Walt Jaschek: "by using local coupons, we put our money where our homes are, where our lives are, and where our families are. Support for local communities means prosperity for local communities." That's what we're all about at MO Dough.

Clinton Sells
Real Estate Website For Up And Coming Professional Agent
Clinton Hafley needed a website that could showcase his growing real estate portfolio, and generate qualified leads from prospective home buyers and sellers. By working closely with him to develop a content strategy that would effectively communicate with his audience, we were able to create a website that presents himself, his company, and the properties he sells in a professional manner.

Auto Spa Etc.
Website For West St. Louis County's Only Full Service Touchless Car Wash
Auto Spa Etc. is literally the Lamborghini of car washes - they are the best at what they do, and they needed a website that showcased their capabilities. We worked together in developing a strategy to clearly communicate their services to customers and show that they are not just some standard car wash - they are the best in the region. With a clean design, easy to find discounts, and forms that help customers contact the staff if they have compliments or concerns, the Auto Spa Etc. website is a shining example of how the right website can showcase a company's best offerings.

Chai Thai
Requires Adobe Flash. Built using Flash Builder and Flash Catalyst.
The Chai Thai website was made to show off the strengths of Adobe's Flex 4.0 framework. First, the site was designed in Photoshop and imported into Flash Catalyst, where the opening animation and page transitions were created. I then transferred it to Flash Builder to input Flex Code to make the website functional. The site features a sophisticated ordering system that I coded myself. The ordering system allows the user to browse and place items in their cart, with only one request made to the server for verification and placement of the order. This keeps the page from having to reload, which keeps the user more involved in the browsing experience. Note: if this was a production site, I would use a secure server and encryption in order to keep the customer's data safe. Since this is a demo, I have not enabled these capabilities.

HTML5 Site - Lovebird Travel Company
Works best in Apple Safari with a high speed internet connection. Also works in Chrome, and to some extent in both Opera and Firefox.
The Lovebird Travel Company is a trip into the future. The goal of the site was to explore the possibilities and limitations of HTML5 and CSS3, the next generation languages of the web. HTML5 element tags like article and menu were used, and the header contains a video element. I also used CSS3 transformations and transitions to make the site more interactive.

CSS Zen Garden
The CSS Zen Garden was originally a project used to showcase the capabilities of CSS based design, back when table based design was dominant. Now, with widespread CSS adaptation, the site has thankfully become a historical curiosity (which was just what the site creator was hoping for!). My version of the Zen Garden took inspiration from Victorian Era books and the design of ornaments in the font Adobe Caslon Pro. I wanted to create a web design as if it had been created by William Caslon himself in the 1700's.
Other recent sites I'm too lazy to take screenshots of (I swear I'll have a new portfolio soon, I swear!): Ideaman, Inc., New Haven Dental Care.
